The ideal base for Painting holidays
The lovely river Saone is only 1 Km walk down the lane, and the neighbouring villages Ray and Soing, at 2.5 and 4 km along the river, are both beauty spots with small shops and restaurants.  Ray also has a chateau and lovely grounds open to the public.

The nearby towns of Gray,  Port-sur-Saone and Pesmes are all full of picture material.  If you just want to look at art, there are good art galleries in Gray and Vesoul, and the Palais des Ducs de Bourgogne in Dijon is worth a trip in itself.

The concierge lives just up the main street and is very friendly.  She will respect your privacy and make sure that you have everything that you need.
The house is located in the centre of a sleepy, very picturesque village. It has a large, tranquil, enclosed garden right next to an old stone laundry or ‘Lavoir’, through which runs a stream and which is decorated with hundreds of geraniums in Summer.
