NOG holds annual fruit fayres or street markets in which the local fruit is sold. In 2007 three Plum Markets and three Apple Markets were held in which over 3,000 lbs of fruit and 630 jars of jam  were sold to the public.  Most of the money - some £1900 in 2007 goes back to the orchard keepers in Newburgh  who supply  fruit

We are talking to organisations who are interested in buying fruit and  we plan to work with the people of Newburgh to develop a scheme for selling the fruit in an organised way.
We have created a Community Orchard in the grounds of the local primary school

We also run annual workshops about pruning, orchard management and fruit identification.  See our Events page for dates.
